Cold Weather New Born Calf Hood.

Frozen Calf Ear, Frostbite Protection,

During Cold Weather Calving!

Calf Ear Frozen Frostbite Protection:

SAVE ME EARS was designed to protect the calf ears from freezing from mothering cow licks just during the first chilly night of life when the temps (or wind chill) drop below 20-25 degrees F. When newborn calf ears are most likely to freeze, or the first 24 to 36 hours of calves life during colder weather, when the cow licks her newborn calf the most. During which time, frozen ears happen when the newborns circulation is also a little slower too.
Save Me Ears

Features:

Protects newborn calf ears, just out of the drying box, from freezing saliva cow licks. Helps to warm cold ears to protect from freezing or resist further frost bite damage, as soon as put on the calf. Uses the calves natural body heat to warm ears (much like having your hands in your own jean pockets for body heat). Calf ears are held in natural birthing position next to the back of head/neck area. Insulated with durable, machine washable, neoprene, originally developed for deep water divers, to keep warm and protected. Neoprene is closed cell, which means the closed cells help hold in body heat and it does not soak in water like a sponge, instead it resists soaking in water. These air cells also help hold in body heat. Sewn with tough 69 weight nylon thread for longer use (same used for work boot tops). Adjustable 3 velcro like hook tape straps, of which 1 adjusts patented neck strap to hold in proper position. With reasonable use and care, Save Me Ears could last for several calving seasons. We accept major credit cards, and to expedite shipping we use insured USPS Priority mail.

Comments: "Just thought I would send a quick note to say thanks for a great product. Just finished up a cold week of calving heifers in Northeast Nebraska and I definitely appreciated what a quality product these hoods are. Thanks again and keep up the good work." ~ Chris M., NE "I'm impressed. Someone has put a lot of thought and ingenuity in developing this product. Appears indestructible, yet soft and supple for the calf. Sure beats the Carhartt beanie I was attempting to use. Ordered them Friday night at 8 pm, was in my mailbox on Monday. How's that for fast shipping. My calves appreciate your dedication." ~ Dennis D. K., PA "...We calve out and seldom have newborns inside, thanks to your awesome ear protector..." ~ T.W, NE "...have tried other products, which all suck. I have 3 of your hoods from 10 years ago still going strong, they work, they don't twist or move on the calves head...They work as advertised! You should be really happy with the excellence of your product." ~ Brian F, Canada
